Steph specializes in helping writers find the “lighthouse” of their story. She excels at finding the “what, why, and how” of a piece, distilling ideas into a well-crafted essay, helping to sculpt the inner and outer story, and honing in on the universal theme of a piece.

In an individual coaching session, you can focus on:

  • Big-picture ideas, including brainstorming a larger writing project, creating a Substack column, developing a clear writer’s voice, or crafting an About Me page.

  • Workshopping an individual essay or series of stories

  • Narrative arc of an essay or larger work, including essay collections, memoirs, or spoken presentations.

Each session includes:

  • Free 15-minute discovery call

  • 45-minute Zoom session

  • Follow-up email with summary and next steps

With over ten years experience facilitating writing workshops with The HerStories Project and producing LTYM Boulder since 2016, I have extensive familiarity with curating the personal stories of women and helping them clarify the focus of their work as well as fine-tuning the unique power of each writer’s voice.
